Story:
Alia’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on one of the chapters of the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai written by S Hussain Zaidi. The movie follows the story of Gangubai Kothewali who was trafficked into sex work but eventually took control over a brothel in Kamathiputra.

Jayanthi Lal Gada and Sanjay Leela Bhansali jointly bankrolled this Project under banners of Bhansali Productions and Pen Inida Limited. Sanchit Balhara Composed Music and Cinematography was handled by Sudeep Chatterjee. Shantanu Maheshwari Plays the role of Gagubai’s suitor Ramnik Lal.
