Aravind Karunakaran (Dulqar Salmaan), a police officer in Kerala, was assigned to investigate an unsolved homicide. Under political duress, other officers brought in a new suspect and attempted to close the case. Aravind Karunakaran decided to restart the investigation with the evidence he had after learning of the case. Aravind Karunakaran appeared to be having a good time with the case. Movie Verdict
The plot of Salute, one of the most popular recent crime thrillers, is based on a true story that anyone can relate to. The director takes his time establishing his protagonist’s world in order to connect with the audience. However, getting into the main plot of the film takes some time.
Dulquer Salmaan’s over-the-top performance saves the film from being dull. The film’s director, Roshan Andrews, did an excellent job of staying true to the story and avoiding any commercial elements. The rest of the cast did an excellent job as well.
A talented cinematographer, Aslam K Purayil, captured the film’s premise and visuals in an effortless manner, in addition to Jakes Bejoy’s music.
